aditya_: Nvidia?
Dr_Willis: probably not that, but I'm no game developer either. Unless your app has an X configuration file, I wouldn't expect to use it
on my ubuntu
teosach: why did you ask about the nx client?
aditya_: What version of ubuntu are you on?
compiz is used in many games. :)
jrib: u dont know about nx, so what's next
I dont use it, but it is in use at my office
aditya_: I don't know about nx
ChogyDan: Because I am going to install it...
Bittyx, did you try "sudo service networking start" and "sudo service networking stop"
10.04.1
aditya_: well you said nvidia so I assume it's an nvidia card
teosach: why do you want to use it?
ChogyDan: To get my game work with Linux
teosach: your game probably has an xorg config
aditya_: start in recovery mode and do lspci
teosach: you can still use it with nx
aditya_: try 'ps aux' and then 'find the pid of your nxserver' and then 'kill -9 pid'
ok
ChogyDan: Can I play with my game without to install the nx client?
teosach: nope
or rather 'kill -9 `pidof your nxserver`'
teosach: nx is just another X server
aditya_: well your best bet is a phone app to chat to nx support, or email support@nomachine.com
aditya_: or #nomachine.com
